RA Factor

The RA Factor test measures the level of rheumatoid factor, an autoantibody that targets the body’s own tissues, commonly seen in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This test is used to help diagnose RA and distinguish it from other types of arthritis or joint-related conditions. Elevated RA factor levels may also be seen in lupus, Sjögren’s syndrome, and chronic infections, although not all people with RA test positive. The RA Factor test is typically used alongside Anti-CCP, ESR, and CRP tests for a more accurate diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune disease activity.
