FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar):
Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) is a test that measures the level of glucose in your blood after an overnight fast (8–12 hours without food or drink, except water). It is a crucial test used to screen for and diagnose diabetes, prediabetes, and other metabolic disorders. Normal FBS levels are typically between 70–99 mg/dL. Levels above this range may indicate impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes. This test is also useful for individuals with known diabetes to assess how well their blood sugar is being managed.

PLBS (Postprandial Blood Sugar):
Postprandial Blood Sugar (PLBS) refers to the measurement of blood glucose levels exactly 2 hours after consuming a meal. This test helps determine how effectively the body responds to a glucose load and is particularly useful for identifying diabetes or assessing blood sugar spikes after eating. A normal PLBS reading is usually below 140 mg/dL. Higher levels may suggest glucose intolerance or poor diabetes control, making this an essential tool in diabetes diagnosis and management.
